Cider/perry recipe: Raspberry Cider

A twist to traditional cider, when the apples are ripe so are the raspberries so why not?!

The following ingredient quantities are based on 5 One gallon(s) of cider being made.

Item Quantity Comment
Cider 3.5 gallon(s) Freshly made
raspberries 20 ounce(s) Mashed/ finely chopped in a blender
Yeast, all purpose 1 packet/ as directed

Instructions

  • Put your newly made cider, blended/mashed raspberries and yeast all in a carboy/ large brewing bin
  • Put on an airlock and leave for 3 weeks
  • Rack and leave for a further 3 weeks
  • Bottle and store in a dark cool place for 3-4 months
